AKA the end
OR when she says goodbye
Hello, there.
Yes, Lizzy gathered all her strength and broke up with Mr Darcy.

No need to shave, no one to please. Shattered heart. |
I don't wanna be adored
Don't wanna be first in line
Or make myself heard
I'd like to bring a little light
To shine a light on your life
To make you feel loved
I´m not as much as retelling Pride and Prejudice, it´s more like an inspired on story. And i´m not linear either. That´s why Darcy´s letter, Lizzy breaking contact with him and Mr Gardiner bringing them closer is happening now at Chapter 40 of 41.
No, don't wanna be the only one you know
I wanna be the place you call home
Nevertheless, it is an Earth shattering moment. It always is, the moment when lovers break up.
I lay myself down
To make it so, but you don't want to know
I give much more
Than I'd ever ask for
One of the movies I ever watched that can perfectly well picture this moment is 'The end of the affair'. I'm a bit ashamed to say that although I loved it, I only watched the 1999 version with Ralph Fiennes and Julianne Moore and haven´t read the book yet - I plan to start soon. Anyway, when they are caught in a bombing and she thinks he is dead, she prays for a miracle. Once he wakes up, she has to give him up because of the bargain with Heavens. I can always remember her despair at having to leave him.
Will you see me in the end
Or is it just a waste of time
Trying to be your friend
Just shine, shine, shine
Shine a little light
Shine a light on my life
Warm me up again
About loneliness, there´s Lost in translation. Two lonely people finding each other in a place where they felt more out of place, a foreign language, a different culture.
Heart clamped by the mousetrap. You're harsh to Darcy!
