a Victorian Men Novella
ALL THOSE DUKES
a romance about trust, honor & passion
Being a widow, Jessica Ellen Dearstring, had means to dedicate to what she liked most, study anthropometry.
Being a Duke, Duck Nobledon had necessity to solve a conundrum that tainted his life since tender age, his ancestry.
When they met, it seemed odd that a lady of science could be trusted with a most honorable task, but Duck didn’t doubt her promise of silence. She was then thrust into the unknown world of aristocracy amongst Dukes and well kept secrets.
If he only knew she also had secrets to keep…
I recently found out an ardent admiration for the Victorian Era after I composed a series of romances in Portuguese called Cupids in Devon. There, the characters sail through decades giving me the chance to explore all the innovations of these 70+ years of Queen Vic's reign. The extensive research left me with much saved, lots of curiosities and funny bits, the 19th century's lovely pre-historical modernity so charming and capable of feeding plot after plot...
The many odd possibilities inspired me to construct these series of stand-alone novellas: VICTORIAN MEN. All light-hearted and steamy, rich in details and plot twists.
not those Dukes... |
We meet Duck, a young Duke who has just inherited the title and find in Ellen, a lady of science dedicated to the study of anthropometry, the ideal person to solve the connundrum of his existance: who is his real father?
A Duke chose a lady of science to investigate his ancestry
using anthropometry amongst his peers and well kept secrets,
promising silence including that of her own past.
