Hi there...
I'm struggling to tell you the story behind my new Darcy & Lizzy love adventure. Since the idea ocurred to me, back when I was writing Friendship, I had never considered it would be a hard narrative.
Explaining why married people cheat seems like a silly thing to do. People do what they do because... I don't know. I've tried to list a few whys but the point is that I don't want this book to be an excuse for their actions. It's a fine line between excusing their behavior and telling their story.
Have I lost my mind and am overthinking - much like this Lizzy does?
I hope not... I'm now passing the chapter when they decide to start over together. From now on should be easier... I hope so.
I've been toying with the idea of posting this story here on my blog BEFORE publishing. The few people who visit this blog will have the chance to read the whole thing and decide to buy it if they want. Friendship of a special kind was posted in three sites before publishing, Image or Likeness in one and 45 days in Europe with Mr. Darcy is an all new thing released directly on e-book.
Also, there is a side story for Jane, something that I never had the urge to tell so far. Jane is very low on my list of favorite characters but this time she has more depth... Her story will be posted but not included on the e-book/paperback version of the 'Prince'. It'll be free forever... (sick).
Ok... so... If you are curious and haven't read anything I've posted so far, this story is about a married Darcy and a married Lizzy and how they manage to be together in spite of the mess their lives turn into. Exciting?...
I'll get back to work.
Hope that my inspiration doesn't leave me.
Nor do you.
xxooxx

Yin and Yang
Hello…
Lizzy let her hurt pride and her petulant prejudice towards the handsome rich fool blind her and she refused a marriage offer that was irrefutable at the time. Not only Darcy was rich and well-connected, he could provide for her whole family of females who didn’t have much of a perspective in life after Mr Bennet’s demise or a chance of such a profitable marriage for any of her other sisters.
Happy women’s day!

Some eye candy because we deserve.
And it's been a while since this gorgeousness showed up here. Ah... Bova!
And I keep discussing Pride and Prejudice’s female characters. How appropriate!...
So after discussing Charlotte, I’d like to explain my ideas on Lizzy and
how I see their friendship.
After mulling over all the stuff I posted previosuly, I came to the
conclusion that Lizzy and Charlotte are opposite to each other in many ways.
At first I only saw Jane as Lizzy’s opposite - or complement. Kinda of a
‘Yin and Yang’ thing. Jane is calm and lovely while Lizzy is witty and
petulant. In my opinion it was the reason they were so close, a lot closer to
each other than to the other Bennet sisters.
Def by Wikipedia: In Chinese philosophy, the concept of yin-yang, is used to describe how seemingly opposite or contrary forces are interconnected
and interdependent in the natural world; and, how they give rise to
each other as they interrelate to one another. Many natural dualities
(such as female and male, dark and light, low and high, cold and hot,
water and fire, life and death, and so on) are thought of as physical
manifestations of the yin-yang concept.
Lizzy is impetuous, fast tongued, quick to misinterpret people and
situations although she congratulates herself on being a shrewd observer.
Charlotte is the good observer: she’s the one who sees stuff - or
foresees the consequences - and advises Lizzy on best ways to act. She does
that several times concerning Wickham, Darcy, Bingley. Lizzy waves off her
comments with a sarcastic joke about making jest of neighbors learned from her
father.
Last post I talked about ‘emotional intelligence’ and how little Lizzy
had IN MY POINT OF VIEW. Lizzy was young - around 20 years old - while
Charlotte was already 27. Not that age is the determinant measure of maturity
and emotional balance but one have to concede that being older a person has had
more opportunities to live different situations and learn how to deal with the
world. Not to mention deal with our own mistakes.
does maturity always murder dreams?
So in this subject of emotional balance Charlotte is Lizzy’s complete
opposite. Her choice in taking action to dig a marriage proposal out of Collins
who, aside from Lizzy’s prejudice, was a really difficult fellow to swallow
shows just how much self-control and determination she had. Charlotte was a
woman with a plan and strong-willed enough to put it to action.

Not only Darcy was rich and well-connected, he could provide for her whole family of females who didn’t have much of a perspective in life after Mr Bennet’s demise or a chance of such a profitable marriage for any of her other sisters.
So, only
a few months ago I realized that Charlotte is the opposite of Lizzy, like
positive/negative, black/white. Charlotte is centered while Lizzy is impetuous;
Charlotte is conniving while Lizzy is passionate.
opposites attract - couldn't help it! This is is fun!
I never doubted that Lizzy and Charlotte were friends. It’s plain for
anyone to see (read) that they have a genuine friendship. Maybe young impulsive
headstrong Lizzy needed both Charlotte’s cold blood and Jane’s charming nature
to find balance.
In case you are wondering why I brought up such subjects, I have to tell
you that my new story is centered on Lizzy and Charlotte and I explore this
symbiosis.
Curious?
Take a look at my ‘Fanfics in English’ page.
Next
post is on Darcy. And my new story’s tripod will be explained and I’ll start
posting.

Falar em público? Eu?
Olá todo mundo!
Tudo beleza?
Vixe!
As gracinhas Collete
e Barbara

Cacildis!
- naturalidade é a melhor regra da boa comunicação. Tá...
- bom humor sempre. Xacomigo!

A Brazilian cast
So, with today´s chapter, we are moving forward to the last stage of
'Friendship of a special kind' aka 'How Will Darcy persuaded Lizzy Bennet to love again'.
![]() |
| 'So Will, it seems like we are coming to a crossroads...' |
![]() |
| 'I already know which road to take, Darling. Yours.' |
From now on, it's gonna be fast and furious - down to business.
To celebrate, I present you a Brazilian cast. The main characters are here, and except from the Hunkity Hunk Raoul Bova that you helped me chose, all artists are Brazilian.

I feel like Jane Bennet
And it´s not a good thing...
I´m as sick as Jane.
This was my Mothers' day gift.
![]() | |
| Hubs said I look good in it! And I love black! |
And this was me during a power jog on Mothers's day - I HAD to try the shirt!

| Oh, why did it have to rain on my |
Thanks Old fashioned charm for this gif, exactly what I needed.
And this is me now.
![]() |
| I just want to curl under my duvet... my head wieghts a ton... |
I have a bad cold, my cheeks are starting to hurt: hello sinusitis! *groan*
Last weekend I watched 'No strings attached' and I thought so cute that Adam puts together a 'period mix' for Emma. It´s not a 'Darcy cute' thing, but a 'Bingley cute'. Cold + Jane + cute Bingley... I need a cold mix cd!
Don´t worry, it´s not a link for yet another playlist. Am too sick for that.

| Doctor is OUT, Charlie Brown! You´re the wrong Charlie anyway... |
I found some Fell better compilations online, but I´d like it to have Eurythmics, early Madonna, early REM, The Cure, The Smiths, some Wham! and a bit of Lulu Santos. Please!
You know what would be Mr Darcy cute? At least my Darcy? This:
BTW, I wish I was better so I could comment on my fave chappy of 'How Darcy persuaded Lizzy', but am not.

See you soon?
