Casa Bonita

Hello, hello!

Casa bonita, Casa bonita!

This last week, aside from surfing the thrill of the comments on the last chapter of 'How Will Darcy persuaded Lizzy Bennett' AKA Foask, I´ve been hosting a dear friend in Rio.
'Darling, I´m glad we´re having this other honeymoon in Rio. What if we move here?'
Yes, Mr Darcy! Move here!

His first time here - my friend, not Mr Darcy - an European guy lost in the middle of Rio + 20 UN Environment Forum, my Hungarian friend is enjoying a colorful South American week.
Yummy!

As he loves South Park, I can´t help by comparing our sight seeing to Cartman´s mad run to enjoy all Casa Bonita has to offer. That´s also one of his favorite episodes and not only has he quoted it while we planned our days, he especifically said he wouldn´t do a Cartman here in Rio.

Ah, well my friend, I will!
Sorry, BFF!  ;)

Crazy crowd of (fake) Brazilian Indians - Hare Krishnas - free hugs offers - Greenpeace sun - African activists - political manifestations - bare chested women on the sluts protest - beer drinking and grass smoke cloud: check!

Sugar Loaf: he says it´s gonna be almost the same view as the Christ's (it doesn´t matter how much I say that it won´t) and is declining the visit. He´s actually scared shit of the cable car.

Me and my friend, we´ll still have several Museums (ahem), beaches, tastes and sights to see but one thing I can say: Rio still has lots of work to host tourists... We lack directions in English or any other language, although we are very nice to tourists. We love to see the city crowded and the white, white skinned who go pinkish from our mad sun!

See ya on 2013, 2014 or 2016?

THE HUNGARIAN SPEAKS FOR HIMSELF: Staying in Rio with Moira for me was like a dream...in the first days i couldn't believe it that i'm here. I actually swore that i won't run thru all the things and excitements as Master Eric did...though i totally understand his attitude. Rio is absolutely different from other towns and countries I saw in Europe, and i really loved the places, bars, food and the people. The people who were always kind and helpful - even if they called me a gringo, which was surprising for a guy coming from Eastern Europe and saw Gringos only in the films of Sergio Leone...I also got another nickname here: cachaceiro, meaning a cachaca-addict, someone who loves drinking caipirinha cocktails. The latter name i liked more....:)))

Now it's Moira's turn to visit me in Europe...
Até logo !

Here you go, BFF! Now you´re one of us! :*
Hope you come back really soon, friend!
And damn yeah, I´m going to Europe in the near future!!!

Disclaimer: for once, some of these pics are mine! yay! Mostly, they were found on Google.

The end

'Darling, now you are mine. No fighting and no running. My Mrs Darcy.'

Brazilian writer Fernando Sabino once wrote a touching short story where he quoted one of his late father's favorite lines:

"In the end, everything works out.

If it didn´t, it´s because we haven´t reached the end yet."

Everything HAS worked out! It´s the end!

Friends, today I posted the last chapter! 'How William Darcy persuaded Lizzy Bennet to love again' AKA 'Foask' reached its end.

Some surprises, some tears, some laughs, and these Darcy and Lizzy found closure. How did you like it?
Aww... how cute!

I loved the experience. I was very insecure about posting this story, it was my first time. Before that, I had only posted the short story where ODC meet in Brasil, but it was not even close to 41 chapters and 190k words.

Posting on AHA and AU I had a steady 1100 views/post, that´s 2200/week! WOW! Let´s see what´s 1100, shall we?

Yep, a lot of money...
Rio - NY flying coach

Three almost-on-stage seats to watch Madonna live - US 2012 tour
A lot of Real bills too...
Michael Kors ostrich clutch
3 days in a posh cabana in Paradise:
Patachocas Resort - Morro de São Paulo, Bahia, Brasil

I also had some lovely comments, people mulled over the story, suggested more songs, approved or disapproved of my characters' actions... I loved it!

On Fanfiction.net it´s on chapter 12 - after Hunsford - and I´m close to 9k views. That´s good!
Giancarlo Neri spread 9k lighted balls at Paris square here in Rio. Amazing!

Every time I finish a good story, I re-read my favorite parts... Like:
Darcy´s Iphone text screen - chapter 3
Darcy´s Iphone text screen - chapter 11
Darcy´s Iphone text screen - chapter 18
I hope you liked the story and want to re-read these parts. Or others. Or read it all again, this time without having to wait some days for the next post.

How sweet it is to be loved by you.

Thanks for following this story! And enjoying it!

And this was it for Darcy and Lizzy, as well as for my experience as a writer. So far.
